The Honorable Marie-Claire Kengo wa Dondo

Marie-Claire Kengo wa Dondo is a Congolese political and business leader who strengthens cooperation between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Poland. She heads the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Congo–Poland, focusing on diplomatic, economic and institutional relations. She comes from a family with strong ties to Poland: her father, Léon Kengo wa Dondo, former Prime Minister of Zaire and President of the Senate, was born as Léon Lubicz, the son of a Polish doctor and a Tutsi mother. During the national Africanisation campaign of 1971, he adopted the name Kengo wa Dondo and visited Poland in 2008 as President of the Senate. Marie-Claire continues this legacy by promoting women's leadership and representing a new generation of African leaders with strong local roots and an international outlook. She serves as the Official Patron of the Afryka Polska Platform, supporting sustainable partnerships between Congo and Poland.
