Agriculture

Agriculture

The Democratic Republic of Congo offers numerous investment opportunities in the agricultural sector, from production to commercialization, with the goal of creating a competitive value chain in the region. With exceptional agronomic potential and the largest agricultural land area in Africa, the DRC has the capacity to feed 2 billion people. It boasts over 80 million hectares of arable land, of which less than 10% is currently cultivated. Grasslands and savannahs can support around 40 million head of livestock. Tropical forests cover 135 million hectares (52% of the territory). Fishing potential is estimated at 707,000 tons of fish per year.

Verification Before Commitment

We do not treat introductions as due diligence. Every critical counterparty and asset must be checked independently.

  • Company registration and beneficial ownership
  • Partner capability, references and litigation checks
  • Land title and ownership verification
  • Permits, licences and regulated-sector requirements
  • Security, political and operational risk review
  • Documented go / revise / stop recommendation

We Help You Set Up in the DRC — Company & Land

Entering the Congolese market means more than meetings. We help Polish and international companies establish a legal presence in the DRC and secure land — handling the local process, paperwork and partners so you build on solid ground.

  • Company formation — registering your company in the DRC (RCCM, tax and fiscal registration), including the Polish-Congolese joint-venture structure required in regulated sectors like mining (51% Congolese ownership under the 2017 Subcontracting Law)
  • Land acquisition — identifying, verifying and securing land or premises for your operation, with due diligence on title and ownership
  • Local partner and representation — connecting you with vetted Congolese partners and providing ongoing on-the-ground representation via ASI DRC
  • Administrative facilitation — permits, licences and dealings with local authorities
  • Banking and compliance — support opening local accounts and meeting regulatory requirements

Land and company registration in the DRC require careful due diligence. We verify title and ownership before any commitment — protecting you from the risks that catch unprepared foreign investors.

Considering a Business Trip to the DRC?

We organise the whole mission end to end — VIP airport protocol, DRC visa facilitation coordinated directly with the Embassy, Go Pass support, a private vehicle with driver, security, accommodation, and pre-arranged B2B meetings with your interpreter throughout.
